David Trochimchuk: Day use normally means that you want to use the services of the hostel/hotel. But this hostel will charge you 35 brl in order to leave your bags when you want to go to the beach. Edit: (to respond to the response from the property) we spoke to two volunteers and then called the contact number of the hostel to speak to the manager or owner. Unfortunately all of those people confirmed that we could not leave our luggage there unless we each payed 35 brl. I had assumed that there must be some miscommunication, because this is such an essential service offered by nearly all hostels, but no, it was confirmed. I wish I could have showed this response to the hostel volunteers or the manager. So perhaps the person responding to the review is merely out of touch with the reality at the hostel.
